There are few things guaranteed to strike fear into the heart of a Big Bad Wolf. Thankfully, one of those things is a surly Irishman, which is why we should all be grateful that Michael Hogan has signed on to star in Red Riding Hood.
Hogan, better known as Battlestar Galactica's Saul Tigh, will play a mysterious new character called The Reeve in Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke's new take on the fairytale, which also stars Amanda Seyfried and Gary Oldman. No news yet as to what the Reeve will be like, but if he's not grumpy yet ultimately kind-hearted and sentimental, if a bit mentally unstable, then it's a waste of Hogan's talents. Letting him be an alcoholic would also be nice, thank you.
Red Riding Hood will be released in April next year.
