Michael Weston and Stephen Mangan will star as Harry Houdini and Arthur Conan Doyle in Fox's supernatural crime drama inspired by the actual friendship between the historical figures.

Houdini debunked the paranormal and Doyle was fascinated by it, but TVLine reports that in "Houdini and Doyle," the pair will help Scotland Yard to investigate crimes with a supernatural element. They were previously described as “the original odd couple, with Houdini believing in nothing, Doyle in everything.”

An international co-production, the 10-episode series is expected to air in 2016 on Fox in the United States, on ITV in the United Kingdom and on Global in Canada.

Weston ("House") and Mangan ("Episodes") will be joined by Rebecca Liddiard (Netflix's "Between") as Adelaide Stratton, the first female constable to work for the London Metropolitan Police Force.
