Fox's psychological thriller Wayward Pines will premiere in May with a massive, simultaneous global event.
The 10-episode series from executive producer M. Night Shyamalan (The Sixth Sense, Signs) will debut May 14 simultaneously in 125 countries, from Latin America and Africa to Europe and Australia, giving it the largest day-and-date premiere in history for a scripted series.
Based on the bestselling novel by Blake Crouch, the drama will follow a Secret Service agent (Matt Dillon) as he searches a small town -- Wayward Pines, Idaho -- for two missing federal agents. Rounding out the cast are Melissa Leo, Terrence Howard, Carla Gugino, Shannyn Sossamon, Toby Jones, Reed Diamond, Tim Griffin, Charlie Tahan and Juliette Lewis.
Shyamalan will serve as executive producer along with Donald De Line, Chad Hodge and Ashwin Rajan. Hodge developed the series for television and penned the first episode, which Shyamalan directed.
