Fox Schedules 'Assassin's Creed,' Plus 'Fantastic Four' And 'Apes' Sequels

Fox kicked off the New Year by solidifying its upcoming film slate, with confirmation of the Channing Tatum-starring Gambit as well as release dates for Fantastic Four 2, Assassin's Creed, a third Planet of the Apes.

The new Apes film will bow on July 14, 2017, a spot previously held by Fantastic Four 2, which was moved up to June 2, 2017. Meanwhile, December 2016 will see the release of two Fox films within days of each other: Michael Fassbender's Assassin's Creed will open on Dec. 21, 2016, while the Hugh Jackman P.T. Barnum biopic The Greatest Showman on Earth hits on Dec. 25.

Finally, in comedy news, Saturday Night Live and Funny or Die helmer Jake Szymanski's Mike & Dave Need Wedding Dates will debut July 29, 2016.
