FOX Renews 'Scream Queens,' Jamie Lee Curtis Reportedly Returning

FOX has renewed its horror-comedy anthology series "Scream Queens" for a second season -- and while the location and some of the characters will be different, a report indicates that Jamie Lee Curtis will be back playing a role on the series.

According to Deadline, "Scream Queens'" second season will take place at a hospital, "where some of the most fascinating and bizarre medical cases are under observation."

Sources tell the site that Curtis is acting as an anchor for the franchise, similar to Jessica Lange on Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk's other horror series, "American Horror Story," which had her appear in various major roles throughout its different incarnations.

In addition to Curtis, the report says much of Season 1's main cast has multi-year deals, so we're likely to expect Emma Roberts and some of the other cast back next season. According to FOX exec Dana Walden, Murphy says he "intends to bring some of the actors, I believe as the same characters."

"Scream Queens" is expected to return this fall to FOX.
