Almost Human, one of the most anticipated launches of the fall television season, is coming a little bit later than expected.
Fox has announced new plans for the Almost Human, pushing back the premiere of J.H. Wyman’s sci-fi/crime drama by two weeks, from Monday, Nov. 4 to Sunday, Nov. 17. The network will air the second episode the following night, during its regular 8 p.m. time slot.
The move places the premiere right after an NFL double-header, which Fox hopes will boost the show’s initial viewership. It also gives newcomer Sleepy Hollow some time to remain paired with proven hit Bones before the veteran drama shifts to its new Friday schedule.
Created by Wyman (Fringe) and executive produced by J.J. Abrams, Almost Human is set in 2048, when police officers are partnered with highly evolved human-like androids. Karl Urban stars as police detective John Kennex, the sole survivor of a devastating ambush, and Michaely Ealy as his robot partner Dorian.
