Fox Orders Smith-Produced Exchange Student Drama

Not content with producing movie stars and pop stars this year alone, Will Smith has apparently decided it's time to move into producing international crime dramas for television with a new series for Fox.

The show, as yet untitled, will focus on an American student studying and fighting crime in China. It'll be developed by Chinese filmmaker Eva Jin for 20th Century Fox, with the Fox network having already given the show a series order, despite the lack of title and star. A sign of Fox's belief in Smith's star power, perhaps, but here's hoping it doesn't turn into Fox's version of what Undercovers became for NBC...
