"Deadpool" screenwriters Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese revealed how the deal was made during a special screening and Q&A session at Fox Studios over the weekend, according to a report on The Playlist. Not wanting to populate Deadpool's cast with X-Men characters, Wernick explained "we were looking down the list of the 400 [‘X-Men’] characters that Fox owns, and [Negasonic Teenage Warhead] jumped out and we were like, 'yes.' I don’t care what her powers are. She’s gonna be in the movie."
