FOX announced its fall and midseason primetime programming schedules for 2010 - 2011 earlier this morning. The network has filled Monday night's old 24 slot with Lonestar, a new drama about a con man who is juggling two lives and two different wives.

Tuesday aims to bring the laughter with family comedy Raising Hope starring Martha Plimpton (How To Make It In America), Garrett Dillahunt (Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles) and Cloris Leachman (Malcolm in the Middle), as well as Mitch Hurwitz's Running Wilde starring Will Arnett (Arrested Development) and Keri Russell (Felicity).

Lie To Me moves from Monday to Wednesday, Thursday remains unchanged, while Human Target finds itself trapped in the dreaded Friday night death slot alongside newcomer The Good Guys.

FOX is filling its midseason lineup with newcomer Ride-Along from Shawn Ryan (The Shield) about crime and corruption in Chicago and Mixed Signals about three longtime friends looking to balance their adult lives with a sense of youthful freedom.

During a conference call, representatives for FOX revealed that Steven Spielberg's Terra Nova won't receive a premiere date until the network can determine how long it will take to shoot while raising the standards for special effects on television.

The network won't announce a replacement for Simon Cowell on American Idol, describing the task as the most important goal of the summer with any potential replacement needing to exhibit "both music credibility and an incredible entertainment value."

Executives aren't worried about the fate of American Idol, saying that they plan to tweak the format by tightening up the results show and ramping up the performance factor.

In the 2010 - 2011 season, Glee won't have as long a break as this past year, with the show staying through December and returning in early February after the Super Bowl, explaining that decision: "It's the biggest show on television and everybody watches the Super Bowl."
