The first-look deal between BOOM! Studios and Fox has led to a second film project. In addition to the James Wan-helmed Malignant Man, announced in June, an adaptation of the 2007 comic series The Foundation is in development.

Heat Vision reports that Evan Daugherty, who co-wrote this weekend's top film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, is on board to pen the screenplay.

Created by Kody Chamberlain, written by John Rozum and illustrated by Chee, The Foundation focuses on an organization created by Nostradamus to help prevent his own predictions that still exists in modern times.

Here's the official description from BOOM!:

History shows that in the 1500s, Nostradamus' three volumes of prophecies were best-sellers, making him a rich man. But what the world doesn't know is that he used his vast treasure-trove of riches to create a foundation to prevent his most catastrophic prophesies from occurring! This secret team still functions today, using Nostradamus' published and unpublished tomes to predict threats to worldwide security! In the vein of The X-Files, but with a 24-like spin!
