The video begins with the black hole that ended Season 10, which was aptly titled "The End." On the other side, four players travel together as the sun rises on a new day.

After stopping for a short fishing excursion, the gang moves farther down the river, where a nuclear power plant can be seen spewing purple liquid into the water. One quick shot of the landscape later, and a party bus drops from the sky with a parachute. The action then picks up as players start to work together and against one another in the Battle Royale mode that fans have come to love. The trailer ends with the Fortnite Chapter 2 logo appearing at the top of the screen.

At 2 p.m. ET on Sunday, players began to queue into the newly added "The End" game mode, a version of Team Rumble that permitted users to witness the event in a full lobby. Once in the game, everyone made their way to the rocket to watch the timer count down to zero. Once there, the map's storm dissipated, and the rocket took off into the air, leading to a multi-minute scene that concluded with players transporting outside of Battle Royale.

As soon as everyone loaded into the next screen after witnessing the event, they were left gazing at what can only be described as a black hole. The game remained offline, with this Chapter 2 launch trailer the first update since the black hole event.

Fortnite is available across multiple gaming platforms, including Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Windows, Nintendo Switch, macOS, iOS, and Android devices.
