Enjoy Dancing Thanos While You Can: Fortnite's Infinity War Event Is Ending

Destiny has arrived for the Mad Titan.

Epic's Fortnite recently added Avengers: Infinity War's Thanos to its Battle Royale mode as part of a crossover with the Marvel studios sequel. Billed as a "limited time event," that time has run out, and the crossover will be coming to an official and tragic end later today.

Thanos' inclusion in Fortnite was strange at first, but it quickly clicked with players. He was actually fun to play, as the Infinity Gauntlet on his hand and his dancing and trolling emotes spawned some pretty funny videos the Internet will likely never forget. All players had to do to feel like Thanos was to find the Infinity Gauntlet on the map and grab it before anyone else did, and then they were able to learn what it feels like to bring balance to the universe -- all thanks to the fact that the Russo brothers needed something to unwind with while editing Infinity War

Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Avengers: Infinity War stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson, Anthony Mackie, Paul Rudd, Elizabeth Olsen, Tom Holland, Benedict Cumberbatch, Chadwick Boseman, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Tom Hiddleston, and Josh Brolin. The film is in theaters now.
