The One Piece universe has a plethora of overpowered Devil Fruits that give their users a serious advantage. Characters like Eneru and Kaido are well known for their mystical power and high capacity to obliterate enemies or large swathes of territory.

However, there are a handful of abilities that are criminally underrated. Whether able to defeat opponents in a single touch or even rewrite the fabric of reality itself, fans seldom talk about these powers or their users. Regardless, such Devil Fruits are capable of changing the world at the right place and time.

10 Mont-d'Or's Book-Book Fruit Defeated Luffy

Despite being a fairly minor member of the Big Mom Pirates, Mont-d'Or's Devil Fruit proved unmatched. It was capable of containing anything within its pages for an indefinite amount of time. As a result, Big Mom used him to store a host of exotic animals.

When the vengeful army came to collect Luffy, it was Mont-d'Or's ability that ultimately defeated the hero. By the time he realized that he was in the book's pages, it was already far too late to resist.

9 Bege's Castle-Castle Fruit Had The Best Defense Of The Worst Generation

"Big Gang" Bege's Castle-Castle Fruit had the greatest defense of the Worst Generation. It allowed him to transform his body into a gigantic fortress that not even Big Mom herself could break despite several minutes of sustained abuse.

Bege's Fruit also allowed him to store any number of allies, meaning that he could smuggle an entire gang into a sensitive location. This complimented his criminal theme perfectly, especially given his reputation for betraying former employers. The Castle-Castle Fruit was even capable of firing cannonballs for additional offensive support.

8 Brook's Revive-Revive Fruit Would Be Unstoppable In The Right Hands

Brook finally reviving himself in One Piece.

As its name suggested, Brook's Revive-Revive Fruit brought its user back from the dead. This already had enormous potential advantages for characters like Mihawk and Garp, who it would likely take a fluke in order to defeat in the first place.

The Revive-Revive Fruit could also imbue its user with a number of unprecedented abilities, such as freezing an opponent in their tracks or detaching their soul from their body. Balancing versatility with offense and reconnaissance, it had stunningly few weaknesses and remains the Straw Hats' most underrated asset.

7 Caribou's Swamp-Swamp Fruit Was Ghastly & Powerful

Caribou, the user of the Numa Numa no Mi, during the Return to Sabaody arc in One Piece

Between being a mass murderer and human trafficker, there were little redeeming qualities about "Wet Hair" Caribou. All the same, his Logia based Swamp-Swamp Fruit was enormously powerful in the right hands.

It allowed him dissolve his body into a viscous mush, fitting into barrels and other narrow spaces without detection. In theory, Caribou would also have greater success at suffocating his targets than most other elemental users. As an added benefit, he could store others within his chest, giving the Swamp-Swamp Fruit similar advantages to Bege's own abilities in a lesser capacity.

6 Kuma's Paw-Paw Fruit Had The Best Mobility Of The Series

Bartholomew Kuma with his paw extended in One Piece.

Kuma's Paw-Paw Fruit was outrageously powerful for its versatility and deadliness. Able to "repel" anything, a single touch could send opponents flying across the entire planet. This made it exceptionally easy for him to scatter and disorganize enemies.

However, Kuma's Devil Fruit had other less expected applications. For example, it could repel a person's pain from their body, effectively restoring them back to health. Alternatively, he could condense force into the palm of his hand, then unleash it as a deadly projectile. It proved so potent that not even Oars Jr was capable of resisting him.

5 Giolla's Art-Art Fruit Could Distort Enemies & Their Surroundings

Giolla's Art-Art Fruit could distort enemies and the world around her. As abstract paintings, they were not able to fight at optimal capacity and were significantly weakened against her. There were two factors that made the Art-Art Fruit particularly oppressive.

Not only was it nearly impossible to avoid, its effects were permanent if given enough time to set in. Should Brook have failed to deceive Giolla into lowering her guard, she could have defeated several Straw Hats at once. Luckily, the skeleton's notoriety as the Soul King worked in his favor.

4 Sugar's Hobby-Hobby Fruit Created An Entire Nation Of Slaves

Sugar Turning Multiple Enemies Into Toys

Sugar's Hobby-Hobby Fruit was already exceptionally powerful given that she could transform enemies into toys with a single touch. However, its greatest strength was what came afterward.

Everyone forgot the victims of Sugar's power, meaning that it would be more difficult to solicit help once she's touched a target. Further, Sugar could issue commands to her toys that ensured they never acted against her in any way. Over time, their bodies would break down through service until they were too worn to be of value.

3 Moria's Shadow-Shadow Fruit Could Bring Dreadful Warriors Back To Life

Gecko Moria was often overlooked by audiences on account of how weak he was. Compared to other Warlords, he failed to challenge the Straw Hats on his own merits. However, Moria was a reasonably intelligent tactician who made the most of his Shadow-Shadow Fruit.

It allowed him to reanimate history's greatest pirates using the shadow of any victim he chose. Should Moria manage to subdue a particularly strong opponent and place their shadow into a formidable body, virtually nothing could get in his way.

2 Tamago's Egg-Egg Fruit Was Great For Second Chances

One Piece Tamago of the big mom pirates one piece

Like the Revive-Revive Fruit, Tamago's Egg-Egg Fruit was an excellent second chance perk. Not only did it allow him to survive getting slashed in half, he emerged even stronger than before. In his chicken form, Tamago gained access to various bird-like abilities that increased his strength, versatility, and mobility.

The Egg-Egg Fruit was especially useful since it revived its user instantly, rather than risking letting their bodies decay or the chance that their opponents might desecrate it. Tamago's power made him so strong that Big Mom relied on him in order to collect Fish-Man Island's candy offerings.

1 Toki's Time-Time Fruit Allowed Her To Send Others Forward

Toki's last stand in One Piece.

Toki's Time-Time Fruit allowed her to send others into the future. This was an enormously useful ability that ensured the survival of Oden's legacy twenty years after he had been executed.

What made the Time-Time Fruit particularly powerful was that it didn't necessarily require a target's consent to work. This meant that she could hypothetically send a villain thousands of years forward where they'd never bother anyone again. Unfortunately, such methods wouldn't work against Kaido since his Haki was strong enough to resist her
