Forest Whitaker knows how he would bring his Black Panther character back from the dead for the sequel.

Entertainment Tonight asked how he would work around the demise of his character at the premiere of his new film The Forgiven. Whitaker never hesitated in his plan to bring Zuri back to the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the inevitable sequel.

Zuri was the spiritual leader among the Panther Tribe and the keeper of the heart-shaped herb. He was killed by Erik Killmonger in the villain's attempt to rest control of the Wakandan throne.

Whitaker stated that he "Would be like an Obi-Wan Kenobi," in reference to the Star Wars character's ability to return to the land of the living as a Force ghost. He continued his explanation by stating that he would be someone "Who comes back and talks from the ancestral plane to give advice to T'Challa."

In theaters now, director Ryan Coogler’s Black Panther stars Chadwick Boseman as T’Challa/Black Panther, Michael B. Jordan as N’Jadaka/Erik “Killmonger” Stevens, Lupita Nyong’o as Nakia, Danai Gurira as Okoye, Martin Freeman as Everett K. Ross, Daniel Kaluuya as W’Kabi, Letitia Wright as Shuri, Winston Duke as M’Baku, Angela Bassett as Ramonda, Forest Whitaker as Zuri and Andy Serkis as Ulysses Klaue.
