A second trailer for Ford v Ferrari has crossed the finish line.
Based on a true story, the drama stars Academy Award-winners Matt Damon (Jason Bourne) and Christian Bale (Vice) as American car designer Carroll Shelby and British driver Ken Miles, respectively. After being humiliated by Enzo Ferrari, the two team up with Ford Motor Company to beat the famed race car at the 1966 24 Hours of Le Mans race in France. The trailer highlights the testy friendship between Shelby and Miles features some high risk and adrenaline fueled racing.
The racing flick premiered at Telluride Film Festival on Aug. 30 and also screened at the Toronto International Film Festival on Sep. 9. With a Nov. 15 release date, it currently sits at a 88% rating on Rotten Tomatoes based on 41 reviews.
Ford v Ferrari was produced by 20th Century Fox but will be distributed by Disney following its purchase of the studio. The movie cost around $97 million to make.
Directed by James Mangold and written by Jez Butterworth, John-Henry Butterworth and Jason Keller, Ford v Ferrari stars Matt Damon, Christian Bale, Jon Bernthal, Caitriona Balfe, Tracy Letts, Josh Lucas, Noah Jupe, Remo Girone and Ray McKinnon. It opens in theaters on Nov. 15.
