"Star Wars" alum Harrison Ford has been in the franchise for almost forty years now, but -- during his appearance on "Good Morning America" -- he revealed that his beloved character Han Solo has his most complex story yet in "The Force Awakens" (via The Hollywood Reporter).

"He's got a more complex story now. A little more of an emotional context than perhaps there was before. But he's still the same guy," he explained.

Having seen the final cut of the film, he also offered his opinion on it, saying, "It was great. It's a wonderful movie. It's got great production values. It's a real big movie, and I was delighted to see it."

Directed by J.J. Abrams, “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” stars franchise veterans Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Peter Mayhew, Anthony Daniels and Kenny Baker, joined by newcomers John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Lupita Nyong’o, Gwendoline Christie and Max von Sydow.

The film will be released wide Dec. 16 in France, Dec. 17 in the United Kingdom and Dec. 18 in North America.
