During its panel this afternoon at New York Comic Con, Nickelodeon debuted a preview from an upcoming episode of Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the new franchise reboot.
Titled "The Longest Fight," legendary voice director Rob Paulsen and actor Maurice LaMarche reunite as Foot Lieutenant and Foot Brute, of the Foot Clan (naturally).
Already renewed for a second season, Rise of the Teenage Mutant Nina Turtles reimagines the the heroes in a half shell, and their allies and enemies: Raphael is a snapping turtle, wielding twin tonfas; Leonardo is red-eared slider, using an ōdachi sword; Donatello is a soft-shell turtle, with a tech-bo staff; and Michelangelo is a box turtle, brandishing a kusari-fundo. Raphael, as the oldest and biggest brother, is the leader full of enthusiasm and bravado; Leonardo, the self-professed coolest brother possesses irreverent charm; Donatello is a mechanical/tech genius; and Michelangelo, the youngest brother, is a skateboarder and artist.
The NYCC panel featured voice actors Omar Miller, Josh Brener, Brandon Mychal Smith and Kat Graham, co-executive producers Andy Suriano and Ant Ward, Paulsen and LaMarche.
Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles stars Omar Miller as Raph, Ben Schwartz as Leo, Josh Brener as Donnie, Brandon Mychal Smith as Mikey, Kat Graham as April O’Neil, and Eric Bauza as Splinter.
