However, at night they participate in gambling classes. Boys and girls get to learn how to manipulate people and come out as the winner in every case, because, according to the principal, that prepares teenagers for the real world. Transfer student Yumeko Jabami is obsessed with gambling, and it appears she is just in for the thrill and doesn’t care about winning. Kakegurui is a great fit for Food Wars fans who enjoyed the anime's characters and setting.

Foodie anime lovers are going to enjoy this comedy-mystery because it is full of interesting characters. Restaurant Nekoya is among the most popular restaurants in Tokyo’s shopping district.

Locals love western food, but there is just one problem; it is closed on Saturdays. At least that is what humans think. The restaurant is in fact open to otherworldly creatures, from dragons to fairies, every kind of creature dines there. The animation is beautiful, and every episode is very entertaining. Fans are generally obsessed with the lead characters, Kuro and Aletta, and love all the fascinating creatures the anime has.

8 True Cooking Master Boy

This mouth-watering Shounen anime is a great match for fans who loved all the cooking in Food Wars. The series follows Mao, whose restaurant owner mother passed away. Mao wants to become a master chef in order to take over and run the restaurant. To become a better chef, he travels around China and learns new techniques, recipes and meets like-minded people.

True Cooking Master Boy is a classic anime, and the art is different from the current shows fans have grown used to.

7 Dagashi Kashi

Unfortunately, this charming show was cut short, but it still managed to gain a solid and passionate fan base. When it got canceled, many slice-of-life anime fans were disappointed, as Dagashi Kashi was a very unique series.

The Shikada family was running a sweets shop, which they owned for nine generations. Kokonotsu would be in line to take over the family business, but he refuses it because he would prefer to live for his one true passion: manga. When everything seems lost, Hotaru thankfully shows up and saves the day. She wants to recruit Kokonotsu’s father to work for a large candy manufacturer. He only agrees to join if Hotaru manages to convince Kokonotsu about taking over the family business.

6 Vampire Knight

Anime lovers who enjoy vampire and dark series and animes set in schools will enjoy Vampire Knight. The Shoujo anime takes place in the Cross Academy, where there are two types of classes; Day Class and Night Class.

Its leading characters, Yuuki Cross and Zero Kiryuu, are tasked with keeping everything in order at the academy, and, most importantly, making sure that everything is smooth during the switch between the two classes; students attending during the day cannot know what dangerous creatures study there at night. Most fans were disappointed to see this mystery anime finish airing because the first 13 episodes were very exciting.

5 Yumeiro Patissiere

Yumeiro Patissiere is much like Food Wars, although it is less intense and has more cute characters. Fans whose favorite character was Megumi in Food Wars will probably enjoy Yumeiro Patissiere.

Ichigo Amano loves eating cakes, but she has no mentionable talents—or, at least, so she thinks. When she met the famous patissier Henri Lucas, it turns out that she, in fact, has an impeccable sense of taste. Thanks to that, she was invited to the most prestigious culinary school in the country where she is able to develop her skills. Although she is a beginner, Ichigo proved to be worthy of the support and beat her in competition.

4 Ristorante Paradiso

This anime may seem to be a completely different show compared to Food Wars. However, Ristorante Paradiso also has some truly mouth-watering dishes and great character development just like Food Wars.

Nicoletta’s mother abandoned her daughter and found happiness in Italy. Fifteen years later, Nicoletta decides to chase her mother down and make her pay for all the pain she caused. Her plans change instantly as she entered the restaurant where her mother is believed to be. Nicoletta falls in love with the atmosphere in the restaurant and cannot feel hatred anymore.

Most Food Wars viewers who loved the show because of its loveable characters will be delighted to watch Gourmet Girl Graffiti because it is very entertaining and the characters are easy to grow fond of.

Ryou’s grandmother kept on telling her granddaughter that the key to a successful marriage is mastering cooking. Years later, viewers meet Ryou as a middle schooler who felt she will never find true love because her cooking skills didn't seem to be good enough. Yet, that all changed when her cousin moved in and shows Ryou that food tastes the best when it's shared with others.

Ben-to is a very unique series, mainly because of its premise. Not many shows revolve around supermarkets and evening sales. Food Wars fans are going to love this show because it is full of passion, rivalry, and food.

You Satou visited a supermarket without knowing that after rush hour, there are life or death wars for the discounted meals. He grows to actually enjoy it and even became an evening regular. Fans loved this show because of its laugh-out-loud moments and because of its exciting and unusual "battle scenes."

1 Toriko

In Toriko's world, hamburgers grow like weeds, and ice cream mountains complete the landscape. Exploring ingredients and flavors is a huge accomplishment in this weird and mouth-watering anime world.

Those who set out to map the world are called Gourmet Hunters. One of the best is Toriko, who aimed to create his Full Course Menu of Life. That achievement doesn’t come easy, but he regardless sets out on the arduous adventure.. Throughout the 147 episodes, viewers witnessed fun action scenes, enjoyed a good laugh, and craved something delicious.
