The CW has released the episode synopsis for the fifth season premiere of The Flash and it looks like Barry Allen and Iris West-Allen's daughter, Nora, will play a central role.

First appearing sporadically throughout the fourth season, Nora West-Allen revealed her identity as the time-displaced daughter of Barry and Iris in the season finale's cliffhanger ending. The full description of the premiere episode picking up from last season's bombshell ending is below:

GETTING RID OF EXCESS — After an unexpected guest from the future, Nora West-Allen (Jessica Parker Kennedy), appears at their home, Barry (Grant Gustin) and Iris (Candice Patton,) must figure out how to get her back to the future without disrupting the timeline…even more than she already has. Team Flash must work together to send Nora back, while simultaneously fighting off another villainous meta. David McWhirter directed the episode written by Todd Helbing & Sam Chalsen (#501). Set photos released last week revealed the new villain facing The Flash and his daughter as Gridlock while additional photos confirmed Nora would don her speedster alter ego as XS to run alongside her father and help take down the new threat.
