Firestorm has a big future ahead of him in the CW's "Arrow"-verse. After playing a big part in the first season of "The Flash," the character is now part of the cast of "Legends of Tomorrow," the third CW superhero show debuting in January. Of course, the men behind the nuclear-powered hero have changed a bit; the original combo of Ronnie Raymond (Robbie Amell) and Martin Stein (Victor Garber) has seen a shake-up. Franz Drameh's Jax has filled the void left by the death of Ronnie at the start of "Flash's" second season.

But Ronnie Raymond -- or at least a version of the character -- may be headed back to the small screen. Amell posted a picture to his Facebook page of the hero's quantum splicer with the caption "Hello old friend."

Hello old friend. 🔥Posted by Robbie Amell onMonday, December 7, 2015

This is the second such tease Amell has made in recent months. In October, Amell paid a visit to the set of "The Flash" and snapped a picture with new Firestorm actor Drameh, saying that the character is in great hands and that he would also be returning. The details of Amell's return, whether it will be as a back-from-the-dead Ronnie Raymond or possibly one from another Earth or another point in time, remain a mystery.

"The Flash" airs on Tuesdays at 8 PM ET on the CW. "Legends of Tomorrow," starring Franz Drameh and Victor Garber as Firestorm, premieres on January 21, 2016.
