Fans of CW's "The Flash" are gearing up for the fast-approaching season three premiere -- a premiere that is set to kick off with its own version of one of DC's most popular recent stories, "Flashpoint." Over the weekend, actor Carlos Valdes spoke to a crowd at Dragon Con in Atlanta about what this alternate "Flashpoint" reality has in store for Cisco Ramon.

"This character I’m playing is still Cisco Ramon, but it’s obviously an alternate reality version of him in which he is still a genius and still posses a technological prowess about him. Now though he's able to cash in on that prowess and build his way up the ladder to become the richest man in America," Valdes said, as reported by Collider.

"He’s a billionaire! He’s created all these things and these apps at Ramon Industries -- which looks a lot like S.T.A.R. Labs -- and he’s ostentatious, not afraid to flaunt his wealth which makes for interesting colors and relationship dynamics. Barry has to struggle with the fact that this is not the Cisco he knows and there’s a bit of an antagonistic energy to this Cisco. It’s what makes the beginning of season three so interesting."

While "Flashpoint" is exciting for fans on its own, season three has more in store, with a "Supergirl" crossover that also happens to be a musical. Details are currently under wraps, even for the actors, but Valdes dropped a few hints about the anticipated event.

"They’re very good about keeping us in the dark about it. I know that the wish is to have as much music as possible in the episodes themselves, but I’m not sure how much will be in there. We’ll just have to see what it will all sound like," he said.

Valdes also discussed his character's growing vibe powers, and whether or not this season will see him become a real superhero like his character does in the comic, albeit vaguely. "Powers grow. That’s what they do," he said. When asked whether Cisco will don a costume this year, Valdes responded simply: "No comment."

"The Flash" returns to The CW for its third season on October 4.
