The CW has played coy about which Arrowverse hero might join DC's Legends of Tomorrow following the loss of Martin Stein, who was killed during "Crisis on Earth-X," and Jefferson Jackson, who left the Waverider soon after. Many fans have speculated that Keiynan Lonsdale's Wally West from The Flash would make a good addition to the show's cast, and now star Brandon Routh has effectively confirmed the character's inclusion
During last weekend's DC in DC event, Routh said to ComicBook.com that Kid Flash will become a member of the team "for a little bit." "I think that goes with the talent that Keiynan brings to his role and to this newly forming — is it forming? — energy of him coming in to be a part of our show," added the actor, who plays Ray Palmer on the series.
The Legends team is made up of self-described outcasts and misfits, which aligns with Wally's feelings since the return of Barry Allen and the arrival of the Elongated Man in the current season of The Flash.
It's unclear in which episodes Lonsdale's Wally might appear. In Legends' midseason finale, the team found itself with two newbies, John Constantine (Matt Ryan) and Citizen Cold (Wentworth Miller), neither of whom is a permanent fixture. However, it's not known whether Wally will stick around or merely serve as another rotating cast member.
Returning Feb. 12 on The CW, Legends of Tomorrow stars Brandon Routh, Caity Lotz, Tala Ashe, Amy Pemberton, Dominic Purcell, Maisie Richardson-Sellers and Nick Zano.
