With Barry Allen imprisoned for a crime he didn't commit, it will be up to another superhero to step up and become the protector Central City deserves. The CW released a promo for next week's episode of The Flash, "The Elongated Knight Rises," which promises to be big on elastic heroism.

In the TV spot, Barry Allen is out of the superhero game, but the supervillains of Central City are still very much a threat. The surprise return of the Trickster spells trouble, and it's up to Ralph Dibny to step up to the plate. Donning his proto-costume, the Elongated Man is poised to reveal himself to the world.

The title of the episode is of course play on Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises, which saw Batman step out of the dark and into the light as Gotham's savior. If the title homage is any indication, we just might see Ralph truly embrace his role as a superhero, and become the Elongated Man.
