SPOILER WARNING: This article contains major spoilers for "Goldfaced," the latest episode of The Flash.

Team Flash's fight against Cicada just got personal for Sherloque Wells. In "Goldfaced," the latest episode of The Flash, Sherloque bumped into the Earth-1 version of his ex-wife Renee Adler. He quickly deduced that she is a metahuman, which puts her directly in Cicada's warpath whether she realizes it or not.

When Nora realized Sherloque was investigating her, she returned to 2049 to seek advice from Reverse-Flash himself Eobard Thawne. Thawne suggested distracting Sherloque with the one riddle he couldn't solve: love. Taking this advice to heart, Nora arranged a meet-cute between Sherloque and Renee at C.C. Jitters.

The meet-cute didn't go exactly as planned -- at first, anyway. Unable to resist showing off his power of reasoning, he rattled off some facts about her; in turn, she accused him of stalking her and stormed off. With some encouragement from Nora, he tried again and proved his sincerity by providing an analysis of another Jitters patron. They reconciled, and she gave him her number.

As she left Jitters, Rene performed a little turn for him -- and the door seemed to open of its own accord as she passed through. This led Sherloque to realize she is a metahuman, with possible telekinetic powers. Since Cicada aims to kill every metahuman in Central City, regardless of how they use their powers, this means she is in harm's way.

As the episode drew to a close, Sherloque returned to his work station at STAR Labs. After a moment's hesitation, he closed out of his Nora investigation and returned to focus on Cicada. This buys Nora a little more time with Reverse-Flash.

Airing Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW, The Flash stars Grant Gustin, Candice Patton, Carlos Valdes, Danielle Panabaker, Tom Cavanaugh, Jesse L. Martin, Danielle Nicolet, Hartley Sawyer and Jessica Parker Kennedy.
