The Flash Season 6 will continue to deal with Cisco Ramon's life-changing decision to remove his metahuman powers.

Showrunner Eric Wallace promised TV Insider that Cisco "is not going anywhere." Further, Season 6 will give the former metahuman some soul-searching to do: "The big question is, can Cisco be happy without his powers?"

In the Season 5 finale, Cisco decided to take the metahuman cure he created. "I don't want the extraordinary thing about my life to be my powers," he told Caitlin. "All these years I thought that Vibe was the person I was supposed to be. I think it's time Cisco finally got his turn." As such, Cisco will no longer be Vibe when Season 6 picks up. This means he will likely redouble his efforts on the science side.

However, considering Wallace's comment, it seems like this metahuman cure wasn't also a cure for his unhappiness. Per the Season 6 trailer revealed at Comic-Con International, Cisco's relationship with his girlfriend Kamilla Hwang will continue to evolve, but that may not be enough -- especially once Bloodwork and "Crisis on Infinite Earths" arrive in the Arrowverse.

Returning Tuesday, October 8 at 8 pm on The CW, The Flash stars Grant Gustin, Candice Patton, Carlos Valdes, Danielle Panabaker, Tom Cavanagh, Jesse L. Martin, Danielle Nicolet and Hartley Sawyer.
