The Flash movie has been rumored to include Michael Keaton's return as Batman, but the actor says his involvement isn't a sure thing.

While being interviewed on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the actor was candid about his uncertainty. "I can't confirm anything," said Keaton when asked about his reprisal. "We're having discussions as they say. We're talking about it and we'll see if it happens." When Kimmel asked who the best Batman was, however, Keaton happily answered: "Me."

The Flash's solo movie is believed to be an adaption of the 2011 limited series Flashpoint by Geoff Johns and Andy Kubert that rebooted the DC Universe and started the New 52. In the story, Flash races to the past to save his mother, Nora, and finds himself in an alternate timeline where his mother is alive and his father has died of a heart attack. Batman is a much more dangerous and deadly threat in this new world. When the Flash goes to Gotham City, he discovers that Thomas Wayne is the one under the cowl and that his son's death drove him to this violent life.

Ben Affleck will reportedly be making his return to the DCEU in The Flash, and director Andy Muschietti confirmed that, like the limited series, the movie will involve Barry Allen traveling to the past to save his mother. But speculation that Keaton would play Thomas Wayne instead of Bruce was denied.
