The following contains spoilers for The Flash #794 from DC Comics.

Jai West sees a major power upgrade because of the Speed Force in a preview for DC's The Flash #794.

The Flash #794 comes from writer Jeremy Adams, artist Roger Cruz, inker Wellington Dias, colorist Luis Guerrero and letterer Rob Leigh. In a preview for the issue provided by DC, Irey West is facing off against Miss Murder, a deadly villain similar to the Batman Who Laughs who is working for the Fraction. In the current "One-Minute War" story arc, the Fraction has come to Earth and, through the use of the Speed Force, frozen nearly everyone in time (apart from the majority of the Flash Family) as they attempt to conquer the planet.

While Irey may be outmatched by Miss Murder given the extent of the new villain's powers is not yet fully known, she gets an assist from her twin brother, Jai West, who has received a power upgrade due to the Fraction's arrival. "My brother turns the Speed Force into strength," Irey explains. "And Uncle Barry said there's a ton of Speed Force spilling out everywhere, so Jai is probably in..invin...super-strong. Which is great because we've been practicing a couple of moves. This one is called the Wrecking Ball."

Flash's One-Minute War Continues Without at Least One MAJOR Hero

Prior to Jai's arrival, Miss Murder informs Irey that her father, Wally West/Flash, was seemingly killed through the use of the Fraction's technology in the previous issue. The shocking revelation comes after Barry lost Iris West at the start of "One-Minute War" in The Flash #790 when the Fraction first arrived on Earth. Additionally, Jay Garrick was stabbed in the chest by the captain of the Fraction's Empress' guard in The Flash #793 and the ultimate fate of the character was left unknown at the end of the issue.

The synopsis for The Flash #794 reads, "The Fraction is moments away from victory, but they forgot about one thing…an almost-10-year-old with red hair and the power to turn things around. Finally, Irey West has found her new superhero name, and she intends to use it while saving the Flash Family from certain doom!"

The Flash #794 features cover and variant cover art by Taurin Clarke and additional variant covers by Marco D'Alfonso, George Kambadais, Eleonora Carlini, Jerry Ordway and Alex Sinclair. The issue releases Marc. 7, 2023, from DC.
