SPOILER WARNING: This article contains major spoilers for "The Death of Vibe," the latest episode of The Flash.

The Flash Season 5's Harrison Wells has officially arrived. In "The Death of Vibe," the latest episode, Team Flash enlisted him for a very specific reason: to help them track down Cicada. However, there's more to this new Wells than meets the eye, and not all of it is good.

On Nora's suggestion, Team Flash sought a new Harrison Wells for help. "I know in the future you guys never bring in a Wells to help you catch Cicada, so if you want a different result this time," Nora started, only for Barry to finish, "Try something new."

Initially, Team Flash turned to Herr Wells for help. Though he wasn't able to personally get involved, he did call "someone who can." "This man is a legend. This man is the greatest detective in all the multiverse," Herr Wells explained. On his recommendation, Team Flash summoned Harrison "Sherloque" Wells.

For his service, Sherloque charged a "substantial" fee. However, he didn't exactly live up to his reputation or his fee, despite the speed with which he initially "solved" the Cicada case. He only pretended to analyze Cicada's profile and pointed to David Hersch as the suspect. Though Team Flash captured Hersch, Cicada remained at large and actually ended up kidnapping Joe West.

When the evidence revealed Hersch wasn't Cicada, Sherloque admitted the truth. "It's always Hersch," he said. "Every time I capture Cicada, it's always the same man." He revealed he had captured Cicada on 37 different Earths: "The trail always leads back to that Earth's David Hersch." As it turns out, he had analyzed the Cicada profile 36 times before and now "I just trot it out there to impress the client and then skip to the end."

At that, Cisco called him lazy, at which Wells defended himself with a "I'm not lazy; I'm efficient... The point, simply, is that there's no reason for the Cicada of this Earth to be anyone other than David Hersch" -- except, of course, for the fact that Nora had impacted the timeline by interfering in her past.

When Cisco demanded the fee back, Wells made himself scare because he had already spent the money on alimony for his six ex-wives. He even went to far as to fake his own death, but Cisco saw straight through it. They located him and demanded his continued service in exchange for the missing fee.

Fortunately, Wells made himself useful during the climactic battle between Cisco and Cicada. Based on Cisco's clues alone, Wells was able to pinpoint exactly which forest Cisco had breached himself to. According to Cisco, this new Wells will continue to aid Team Flash "until you pay us back every cent." Fortunately, "the prospect of another mystery with Cicada puts a little pep in [Wells'] step." Sherloque will stay in STAR Labs' lounge as Nora moves into the loft with Barry and Iris.

Airing Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW, The Flash stars Grant Gustin, Candice Patton, Carlos Valdes, Danielle Panabaker, Tom Cavanaugh, Jesse L. Martin, Danielle Nicolet, Hartley Sawyer, and Jessica Parker Kennedy.
