SPOILER WARNING: This article contains major spoilers for "Gone Rogue," the latest episode of The Flash.

The Flash just set up Mirror Master -- again. In "Gone Rogue," the latest episode, Team Flash discovered a weapon built by McCulloch Technologies that could destroy Cicada's dagger: a mirror gun capable of destroying objects down to the atom.

Under the influence of the Negative Speed Force, Nora teamed up with Weather Witch, Bug-Eyed Bandit and Rag Doll to steal the weapon from McCulloch Tech, "the largest manufacturer of military grade weapons in the country." As it turns out, McCulloch Tech does more than that.

"The city has contracted these guys to clean up the shrapnel from the STAR Labs satellite," Cecile explained as Team Flash pieced together Nora's plan.

"Let me guess: none of that crap ended up in the dump," Joe said. "They used it to make meta tech like Spencer Young's phone."

"My source says that McCulloch is debuting a new line of products tonight," Iris confirmed.

As such, McCulloch Tech has been in the business of developing meta tech. That means the company is home to dangerous weapons, including the aforementioned Mirror Gun that is capable of destroying Cicada's dagger. After a betrayal by Weather Witch and Bug-Eyed Bandit, Nora eventually got her hands on the weapon and explained to her parents just why it would help them.

"It's a weapon built from the solar reflector panels from the STAR Labs satellite, capable of destroying any object down to its atoms, and it's the only thing that can destroy Cicada's dagger," Nora explained. She also revealed that this had been Reverse-Flash's plan all along. Although Barry didn't like that, he agreed to work with it because he trusted Nora.

Cisco later confirmed the weapon's capabilities and coined its name. "This thing has got a prismatic battery supercharging its reflector panels, so if anything's gonna destroy that dagger, it's this mirror gun," he said.

Of course, The Flash has featured a Mirror Master before, but multiple characters have assumed that moniker in the comics. Sam Scudder appeared in two Season 3 episodes. A metahuman like the New 52 version of the character, Scudder could travel through mirrors, earning him the Mirror Master nickname. Evan McCulloch, on the other hand, has no such powers; he relies on a laser pistol -- much like the one introduced in this episode -- to commit crime.

By naming the company after him and debuting the mirror gun, The Flash appears to be setting up for McCulloch's Arrowverse debut. He did not appear in the episode, but now there is plenty of groundwork for the character to appear down the line.

Airing Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW, The Flash stars Grant Gustin, Candice Patton, Carlos Valdes, Danielle Panabaker, Tom Cavanaugh, Jesse L. Martin, Danielle Nicolet, Hartley Sawyer and Jessica Parker Kennedy.
