WARNING: This article contains major spoilers for "The Exorcism of Nash Wells," the latest episode of The Flash.

Why settle for one Harrison Wells when you can have them all?

In "The Exorcism of Nash Wells," the latest episode of The Flash, the STAR Labs team successfully saved Harrison "Nash" Wells from Reverse-Flash's clutches. However, the other Wells doppelgangers -- who were destroyed in the "Crisis on Infinite Earths" crossover event -- are a permanent addition to Nash's mindscape.

"You're free of it. Free of Thawne," Cisco confirmed to Nash after his "exorcism." However, there was a catch: "As for the other Wellses, their brainwaves are unfortunately still entangled with yours. So they're as much a part of you now as yourself."

"You mean I'm going to keep hearing them? I'm going to keep seeing them?" Nash asked, with Cisco nodding along to both. With a sigh, he added, "Crisis of Infinite Wells. Well, I've had worse."

This was further confirmed by another Harry Wells appearance. When Cisco left the room, Earth-2's Harry appeared to him to offer some sage advice about approaching Allegra, the doppelganger of Nash's adoptive daughter Maya. However, he was gone nearly as quickly as he had appeared.

In this, The Flash gets to have its cake and eat it too. Nash is, for all intents and purposes, truly the "final" Wells -- but all of the other Wells live within him, which means Team Flash can still consult with the Council of Wells moving forward. "I've been seeing a lot of Wells lately," Nash admitted at the beginning of the episode. "I mean, up here. A lot. I don't know how many there are, but the wizard Wells? Annoying. French Wells. New York City Wells. Actually, he's alright. And then Harry Wells."

"When the multiverse collapsed in Crisis, all of the Wellses must have channeled into the only surviving doppelganger," Barry speculated, with Cisco adding, "Multiple psyches camped out in Nash's brain. It's like Tyler Durden times a thousand."

This was how Reverse-Flash managed to nearly take over Nash's body. As someone who inhabited Wells' body, he had access to Nash, just like all the other doppelgangers. Fortunately, Team Flash intervened, and they were able to oust Eobard Thawne for good. Nevertheless, his essence was removed but not destroyed, thus allowing him to return in some new shape or form down the line.

Airing Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/CT on The CW, The Flash stars Grant Gustin, Candice Patton, Carlos Valdes, Danielle Panabaker, Tom Cavanagh, Jesse L. Martin, Danielle Nicolet and Hartley Sawyer.
