Season 7 of The Flash will feature a chilling new villain.

Per the official character description for Chillblaine:

Scientist Mark Stevens is a charismatic bad boy obsessed with cryogenic technology. But when he’s not breaking into corporate safes, he’s busy breaking hearts with his irresistible charm and roguish style. Armed with his own cold weapons, he’ll become a new thorn in the side of Team Flash as the DC Comics villain Chillblaine.

In DC canon, four men have taken up the mantle of Chillblaine, who uses the same cold gun technology as Captain Cold. The character often serves as the partner and romantic interest of Cold's sister Golden Glider, although Chillblaine IV murdered her and stole the cold gun technology. Cold would eventually kill him in retribution.

Cor's list of credits includes Dark Matter on SYFY and Shadowhunters on Freeform, where he played Hodge Starkweather. Cor is not the only Shadowhunters alum to join a DC television show. Series lead Katherine McNamara played Mia Queen in Seasons 7 and 8 of Arrow and was set to reprise the role in the now-defunct spinoff Green Arrow and the Canaries.

The Flash stars Grant Gustin, Candice Patton, Jesse L. Martin, Danielle Panabaker, Carlos Valdes and Tom Cavanagh. Season 7 premieres on Tuesday, Feb. 23 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
