Another mirror doppelganger has been lurking among Team Flash all season.
In "So Long and Goodnight," the latest episode of The Flash, Police Chief David Singh revealed he is working with Eva McCullough, the show's new Mirror Master. What's more, he repeated a phrase used by Mirror Iris, which indicates he is also a mirror doppelganger.
Since he returned post-"Crisis on Infinite Earths," Singh has done nothing but discourage Joe West from investigating Joseph Carver and Black Hole. Finally, in "So Long and Goodnight," he relented -- and Joe's next attempt nearly cost Cecile her life. That event finally convinced Joe to go into witness protection, just as Singh had initially suggested at the start of the episode, after Rag Doll's first attempt to kill Joe.
After Joe left with witness protection, Singh returned to his car. As he settled into the driver's seat, he adjusted the rearview mirror and said, "Joe West is out of the way, as requested. Success is assured." Notably, Mirror Iris also told Eva that "success is assured" earlier in the episode, which confirms he is also a mirror doppelganger.
At that, Eva appeared to him in the mirror. "Good," she replied. "If anyone is going to make my husband pay for what he did, it's going to be me."
Later, she had one of her mirror doppelgangers send Joseph a mirror. When he opened it, he caught a glimpse of his wife and made a motion to smash it, suggesting he knew about her fate all along. She stopped him and demanded an apology, accusing him of leaving her to rot while he used the company she built. "I had a vision for humankind!" she cried, only for him to shout back, "So did I!" However, they did not divulge the details of this "vision."
She warned him this was his "last chance," but he shot back, "Threats are for real people, Eva, not phantoms. Because that's what you are. And me, darling? I'm untouchable." With that, he pressed his hand to the glass; she put hers against his. Then, he drew his arm back and shattered the mirror with his elbow.
With Eva's latest addition, we now have three confirmed mirror doppelgangers in Central City: Iris, Kamila and Singh. Since Eva cannot be physically present in the "real world," these doppelgangers have acted as her secret agents, with Mirror Singh stalling Joe and Mirror Iris attempting to drain Barry Allen of his last remaining speed. It is unclear what her goal is with them, though she did manage to disrupt Joe's investigation and cause Mirror Iris to kick Barry out of their home.
