The second half of The Flash's two-part mid-season finale will feature a showdown between Barry and Season 6 villain Bloodwork.

Part one of the episode featured Dr. Ramsey Rosso, aka Bloodwork, infecting the Flash with a dangerous hallucinogen that caused the Scarlet Speedster to be revisited by his late mother. The official synopsis for the second part of the mid-season finale, which will air December 3, has now been released by The CW:

With The Flash (Grant Gustin) battling Bloodwork (guest star Sendhil Ramamurthy), Iris (Candice Patton) and Cisco (Carlos Valdes) fight to help Barry take control before he’s lost to Ramsey’s influence. Meanwhile, the rest of Team Flash fight to reclaim Central City from Bloodwork’s growing army. Michael Nankin directed the episode written by Kristen Kim & Joshua V. Gilbert.

The Flash is on the final stretch of its build towards Crisis on Infinite Earths, the massive CW crossover featuring all five Arrowverse shows. The past few episodes have featured Barry Allen confronting his impending role in the upcoming Crisis and his eventual death, which will save what remains of the multiverse.
