The Flash: Barry Uncovers New Information About the Thinker

SPOILER WARNING: This article contains major spoilers for "When Harry Met Harry," the latest episode of The Flash.

In the latest episode of The Flash, Barry Allen was able to track down Clifford DeVoe -- but he wasn't the Thinker that Barry expected. Instead of confronting an evil mastermind, Barry came face-to-face with a young housewife and her wheelchair-using husband.

Earlier in the season, Barry recognized the name DeVoe when Ralph admitted that was a mysterious client's name; after all, both Savitar and Abra Kadabra had listed DeVoe as being one of his greatest enemies. As such, he set Cisco, Caitlin and Harry on a mission to track DeVoe down, so that they could tackle this threat head-on.

Despite having the villain's name, tracking down DeVoe wasn't as easy as it seemed, as there were hundreds of men named DeVoe in the city alone. Harry summoned a handful of his doppelgangers for help devising a method to narrow their search. After some back-and-forth between the four Wells doppelgangers, they were able to come up with a name: Clifford.

Working with that, Barry and Joe headed to Clifford DeVoe's address. There, they found a modest house with a welcome mat at the door. When they knocked on the door, the Mechanic answered it, but she wasn't dressed in her white outfit from prior episodes. Instead, she wore a floral dress with her hair down.

Barry and Joe were a little stunned to see her, but asked after DeVoe regardless. She wanted to know if he had done anything wrong, and they assured her that he hadn't. She opened the door wider to admit them both, revealing DeVoe. DeVoe wheeled into the room, wearing a plaid button-up and jeans. The episode cut just as Barry and Joe stepped back in surprise.

Though the episode ended on that note, next week's episode will continue to explore Team Flash's first encounter with DeVoe. As seen in the promo, DeVoe will cause a little havoc in Barry's life, all without being the Thinker.

Starring Grant Gustin as the Scarlet Speedster, The Flash airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW. The series also stars Jesse L. Martin, Tom Cavanagh, Carlos Valdes, Candice Patton, Danielle Panabaker, Keiynan Lonsdale and more.
