The upcoming "Crisis on Infinite Earths" will loom heavily over Season 6 of The Flash, as evidenced by The CW's official synopsis of an upcoming episode for the Arrowverse series.

Ominously titled "Dead Man Running," the third episode of the sixth season will see Barry Allen prepare for the oncoming crisis for the fate of the DCTV Multiverse by alerting the rest of the team while pursuing a new villainous metahuman. The full plot synopsis from the network is below.

GET READY FOR A KILLER PARTY - Knowing that Crisis is only weeks away, Barry (Grant Gustin) prepares a member of Team Flash for life without him while hunting a terrifying meta-human with an unquenchable thirst. Barry's mysterious disappearance during a crisis had been heralded ever since the series premiere, with a newspaper headline from the future written by Iris West-Allen revealing his fate. The Season 5 finale concluded with a stinger that brought up the date of the crisis and Barry's disappearance to 2019 to reflect the airdate of the upcoming Arrowverse crossover event.
