Marvel Comics has provided CBR with an exclusive preview of X Lives of Wolverine #1, by Benjamin Percy, Joshua Cassara and Frank Martin. In the preview, Wolverine sees some of the most iconic and important moments from his life.
X Lives of Wolverine, which is a connected to X Deaths of Wolverine, is said to start the Second Krakoan Age, much like how House of X and Powers of X began the first. The two books, which release on alternating weeks, see Logan traveling through his own timeline in order to tackle a danger to the X-Men. Percy has said the series will be the greatest Wolverine story ever told" and honor the past while moving forward.
In CBR's preview for X Lives of Wolverine #1, the titular hero finds himself thinking about time when Professor Charles Xavier brings him to Cerebro. Wolverine puts on the helmet, and the book moves into a spread showing some key moments from his life, including fighting against Lady Deathstrike, Sabretooth and Omega Red. X Lives of Wolverine even shows Logan's fight against Bruce Banner/Hulk, which was how he was introduced to the Marvel Comics universe.
Created by Roy Thomas Len Wein and John Romita Sr., Wolverine first appeared at the end of 19974's The Incredible Hulk #180. In terms of his abilities, Wolverine has a healing factor that makes him extremely hard to kill and claws. His skeleton was also infused with adamantium, an indestructible metal. Since his introduction, the character has become one of Marvel's most popular and appeared in many different films and TV shows based on the X-Men.
