Hero Ventures has unveiled concept art of the 2-acre domed complex for The Marvel Experience, its $30 million interactive tour set to launch in the spring.

Announced in August, the traveling attraction is characterized as a "first-person superhero adventure," with audiences becoming part of the action through state-of-the-art multimedia technology, including a 4D motion ride and 3D-animated features.

The Marvel Experience is designed to resemble a S.H.I.E.L.D. mobile command center, with the Dome reach more than six stories in height. Inside, there will be a maze of connected domes that lead guests through interactive games and original animated short films that lead to the centerpiece, the motion ride.

“The Domes are central to the singular story line that pulses through The Marvel Experience and are enhanced by state-of-the-art design applications and graphic elements,” Hero Ventures COO Doug Schaer said in a statement. “The interior will feature an exaggerated comic-style utilizing projected high-tech imagery, amazing fabricated set pieces and virtual simulations to advance the story. Our guests will be interacting directly with multiple Marvel Super Heroes, as well as members of S.H.I.E.L.D., as they take their place in the Marvel Universe."

The above rendering was art-directed by concept artist Aaron Sims (X-Men: First Class, The Amazing Spider-Man), who will also be involved in the tour's character design and environment animation.

The Marvel Experience is the second Marvel-themed touring show scheduled to launch this year: Feld Entertainment's Marvel Universe Live! debuts in July.
