First Look at Snyder & Romita's "All-Star Batman" Art

Getting a jump-start on Comic-Con International, DC Comics has unveiled a sneak peek at art from the upcoming "All-Star Batman" by writer Scott Snyder and artist John Romita Jr.

"This series, for me, is really how to examine each villain in a way that sort of elevates them, shows why they're amazing, and to do it with artists that really challenge me to write very, very differently," Snyder tells "DC All Access" in the video below.

"This is ground-level, nasty Batman stuff," Romita says.

Announced in April as part of DC's Rebirth initiative, "All-Star Batman" has been described as a mix of "Mad Max: Fury Road" and "The Defiant Ones," featuring the Dark Knight and his greatest rogues -- and such artists as Romita, Jock, Declan Shalvey, Tula Lotay and Sean Murphy.

"All-Star Batman" launches Aug. 10 with Snyder and Romita's Two-Face arc.
