Less than a month ahead of the Season 4 premiere, Marvel and ABC have released the first official image of Gabriel Luna as Robbie Reyes/Ghost Rider on "Agents of S.H.I.E.l.D."

Along with the image, it's been revealed that the first episode of Season 4 will be titled "The Ghost" (via MCU Exchange) -- indicating that we could see Luna's Spirit of Vengeance blaze up on the small screen as soon as the first episode.

While most fans are familiar with Johnny Blaze as Ghost Rider, the Robbie Reyes incarnation -- which debuted as part of Marvel NOW! -- has taken off as a popular character in his own right; he'll be back in his own ongoing comic series this fall from creators Felipe Smith, Danilo Beyruth and Tradd Moore.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly about the addition of Ghost Rider to the series, EP Jed Whedon said the choice felt natural due to the trajectory of the overall Marvel Cinematic Universe. “It started out with a guy building a suit using science, and then we met aliens that are the origin of the myths behind some of our gods, and this year Doctor Strange comes out...we’re opening it up even further to the world of things we don’t totally understand, or as Thor says, ‘Magic is science that we don’t understand.’ Well, we’re getting into some very, very fancy science.”

"As always, we are going to put our own spin on the character," Whedon said. "We are staying true to the comics in the places where we feel like it’s really important — we love the character’s family dynamic and the East L.A. kid in him.”

“Season 4 will unquestionably be the series’ biggest, most ambitious story yet, and it all begins with the introduction of one of our greatest legacy characters in Ghost Rider,” Executive Producer/Head of Marvel Television Jeph Loeb teased at the time of the announcement. “When the Spirit of Vengeance rides into S.H.I.E.L.D., it’ll change everything.”

“Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” returns Tuesday, September 20, at 10pm ET, on ABC.
