More than three months after Neil Patrick Harris was cast as Count Olaf in Netflix's "A Series of Unfortunate Events," we now have a first glimpse of the fan-favorite actor as the dastardly villain.

Vancity Buzz captured photos of the actor in makeup Monday while he was shooting a scene in downtown Vancouver. As you can see below, and in additional images on the website, the TV version of Lemony Snicket's antagonist doesn't look too different from Jim Carrey's interpretation in the 2004 film.

“A Series of Unfortunate Events” recounts the story of the orphaned Baudelaire children — Violet, Klaus and Sunny — as they face one peril after another after being placed in the care of their relative Count Olaf, who’s only concern is getting his hands on their inheritance.

Harris is joined in the Netflix series by Malina Weissman, Louis Hynes and Patrick Warburton.
