NBC has unveiled a first look at the third season of "Hannibal" in a video the blends new footage with interviews with the cast of the psychological thriller.

As the actors explain, the new season finds Hannibal Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen) and Bedelia du Maurier (Gillian Anderson) "ensconced" in their new life in Florence, Italy, where they've assumed new identities as a married couple -- at least one of whom Lecter is presumed to have murdered. "I've killed hardly anybody during our residence," he states matter-of-factly.

In addition to Mikkelsen and Anderson, there's also commentary from Hugh Darcy, Laurence Fishburne, Caroline Dhavernas and Richard Armitage, who joins the series as Francis Dolarhyde, aka the Tooth Fairy, as this season draws from Thomas Harris' 1981 novel "Red Dragon."

"Hannibal" returns Thursday, June 4, at 10 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.
