First Look at Grand Moff Tarkin on 'Star Wars Rebels'

Iconic villain Grand Moff Tarkin will make his Star Wars Rebels debut in the Feb. 9 episode of the Disney XD series, "Call to Action." Entertainment Weekly scored the first images, and StarWars.com has released the first clips.

Originated in Star Wars: A New Hope by veteran actor Peter Cushing, the role was portrayed in Revenge of the Sith by Wayne Pygram. The character was later voiced on Star Wars: The Close Wars by Stephen Stanton, who reprises that role on Rebels.

As you can see in the clips below, the good governor arrives in "Call to Arms" to address the increasing insurgency on Lothal, and to dismiss the notion that a Jedi might be involved.

"Minister, have you ever met a Jedi?" Tarkin asks Maketh Tua. "I actually knew the Jedi, not from the pages of folklore or children's tales, but as flesh and blood. And do you know what happened to them? They died, every last one of them."

Star Wars Rebels airs Mondays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Disney XD.
