First Eternal Warrior, Livewire Photos from Ninjak vs the Valiant Universe

With all of the other comic book companies making live-action properties out of their superheroes, it was only a matter of time before Valiant Entertainment joined the melee. The more typical route has been to create a series of shared-universe feature films, and Valiant has that covered with its planned "Harbinger" and "Bloodshot" movies, but fans will get to see their favorite Valiant heroes mix it up in the more immediate future. The live-action "Ninjak vs the Valiant Universe" online series will feature an expansive cast playing heroes from across Valiant's titles. Today, we get a closer look at two of them.

The trailer, unveiled at New York Comic Con 2016, focused mostly on the titular ninja, but gave us very brief glimpses at some of the other stars. Now, we get to see pro wrestler John Morrison as The Eternal Warrior and Ciera Foster as Livewire thanks to Valiant's Twitter account.

In superhero adaptations, the first question is always what the costume will look like, and fans expect some changes. These heroes are unique, however, in that they look exactly as they do in the comics, down to the colors. Livewire's red and orange color scheme is totally intact, as is Eternal Warrior's questionably-practical forearm ammo belt. Practicality be damned, these heroes could have walked right off the page and onto your screens.

Gilad Anni-Padda a.k.a. The Eternal Warrior is an immortal Mesopotamian prince, wandering the Earth and getting involved in every fight and every war imaginable. He's mastered every fighting style and every weapon, and trained some of the most famous soldiers of history. Amanda McKee a.k.a. Livewire is a powerful Psiot. She has the ability to talk to technology, and she constantly struggles to fight for the good guys. Both of them stand as unique challenges to Ninjak, and in the fight-heavy webseries, will inevitably both come to blows with him, and possibly each other. Both of these photos are in the same snowy forest, and are framed with the two heroes standing in opposition.

“Ninjak Vs. The Valiant Universe” is a six-episode series directed by Aaron and Sean Schoenke of Bat in the Sun Productions. It stars Michael Rowe (“Arrow,” “The Flash”) as Ninjak, Jason David Frank (“Power Rangers”) as Bloodshot, John Morrison (WWE, El Rey’s “Lucha Underground”) as the Eternal Warrior, Chantelle Barry (“90210,” “Entourage”) as Roku, Kevin Porter (“Dodgeball:) as Armstrong, Ciera Foster (“Two and a Half Men”) as Livewire and Derek Theler (ABC’s “Baby Daddy”) as X-O Manowar.
