UPDATE: 1/6/2015 11:00 AM PT: The "Ant-Man" push continues, with a cover story in this week's Entertainment Weekly, with an article billed to tell the "10-year-trip to the screen" of "Marvel's risky new movie." The cover for the issue -- featuring a first look at Rudd in the Ant-Man costume -- is now online:

Marvel Studios continued its "ant-sized" promotion for its incoming Paul Rudd superhero film "Ant-Man" Tuesday with the release of the movie's first poster on Twitter.

The tongue-in-cheek image follows on the heels of a similarly small teaser from the film earlier this week. The tweet accompanying the poster included word, as revealed previously, that a teaser will arrive tonight with the broadcast of the company's new ABC TV series "Agent Carter," though whether that will simply be a rebroadcast of the human-sized version of the trailer or something new (and longer) is yet to be seen.

Directed by Peyton Reed, Rudd stars in "Ant-Man" as Scott Lang, described in the official synopsis as a "con-man" who "must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats."

"Ant-Man" is scheduled for release on July 17, 2015.
