The hit action anime series Fire Force comes from the same creative mind as Soul Eater, meaning it packs plenty of eccentric and fun characters, a stylish setting, and eye-popping battle scenes. Fire Force brings us a post-apocalyptic world where humanity rebuilt after a massive inferno, and people randomly succumb to spontaneous combustion. It's a dire world, all right.

This is where the firefighters come in, all eight companies of them. Each company has a captain, and the woman known as Princess Hibana leads company 5. She is a pyrokinetic and scientist who can create flower-shaped flames to devastate her enemies, and she can raise a person's temperature to paralyze them with heat syncope. This makes her a fearsome fighter on offense, though she's not very durable and has limited battlefield experience. So, who are five anime characters whom she can dominate in battle, and which five will dethrone this princess for good?

10 Can Defeat: Mikasa Ackerman (Attack on Titan)

Mikasa is one of the top-rated warriors of Paradise Island, and right from the start, she has shown an aptitude for killing Titans, especially when Eren's life is threatened. She is highly skilled, coordinated, and determined.

All this is great against lumbering Titans, but Mikasa's paring blades and ODM gear won't help her take down Princess Hibana. After all, Hibana's heat syncope effect would cripple Mikasa (even in midair), and some fireballs would turn her to ashes.

9 Can't Defeat: Shoto Todoroki (My Hero Academia)

My Hero Academia's Shoto Todoroki looking determined.

The world of My Hero Academia is one of superpower quirks, and if Princess Hibana lived in this world, she would be considered to have a "fire control" quirk. Guess who else can control fire? Shoto Todoroki.

Shoto can not only counter Hibana's flames with his own but resist the effects of heat syncope with his ice powers. Whether with fire or ice, he can overwhelm her in combat and stay standing, unlike many of his classmates (who would fall victim to that heat syncope).

8 Can Defeat: Lucy (Elfen Lied)

Lucy from Elfen Lied

This is Lucy, a Dicolonius who wields the power of vectors (invisible arms). She is a superman being who has the potential to replace the entire human race, and she can tear people limb from limb without mercy, thanks to those vectors.

Lucy is hardly indestructible, though, and she's not prepared for the heat syncope that Princess Hibana can inflict on her. Even without it, Hibana has the edge here, since Lucy can deflect solid projectiles with her vectors, while fireballs are a whole different story.

7 Can't Defeat: Natsu Dragneel (Fairy Tail)

It's probably clear at a glance why Princess Hibana would struggle against this opponent. Like Shoto, Natsu is a master of fire, being a dragon slayer, and he only grows stronger and stronger during the story of Fairy Tail.

His mastery of heat would protect him from the heat syncope somehow, and fireballs won't hurt him, either. In fact, he will eat them, and gain power! Now Princess Hibana is out of options, and Natsu could blow her away with sheer force.

6 Can Defeat: Sakura Haruno (Naruto)

At first, it's tempting to dismiss Sakura as the comic relief of Naruto, but she is a capable healer and strategist, and she can deliver some serious punches. At some point, Chiyo used puppet jutsu strings to make Sakura into a super-powered puppet to fight on par with Sasori of the Akatsuki.

This is all and good, but it won't work against Princess Hibana. Sakura, despite having solid melee skills, doesn't have the sheer speed of Rock Lee or Might Guy, so Hibana would get the chance to catch Sakura with that heat syncope. From there, victory is all but assured, especially if Hibana acts fast (Sakura might find a way to heal herself and counter the heat syncope, given enough time).

5 Can't Defeat: Sosuke Aizen (Bleach)

This is an opponent who has practically no blind spots at all. Sosuke Aizen is a terror on the battlefield, powerful even by Soul Reaper Captain standards, and his Shikai, Kyoku Suigetsu, is the final world in illusion and deception.

With it, Aizen can trap his opponent in a perfect illusion using all five senses, and Princess Hibana would have zero countermeasures against this. She would launch attacks at empty air, thinking she's about to win... only for Aizen to split her apart with a sword stroke.

4 Can Defeat: Alex Armstrong (Fullmetal Alchemist)

Alex Armstrong's transmutation circle in Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood.

This hulking man is Major Alex Louis Armstrong, a state alchemist who elegantly combines his peak physical condition with the creative power of alchemy. This allows him to beat down nearly any opponent with those fists of his.

He would make a great challenge for Princess Hibana... if he ever got the chance. He's going to fall victim to her heat syncope, and he can't alchemize anything or throw a single punch like that. A barrage of flower-shaped fireballs would finish him soon after that.

3 Can't Defeat: Speed O' Sound Sonic (One-Punch Man)

Speed O Sound Sonic One Punch Man feature

Don't be fooled by the fact that One-Punch Man is a parody series of the superhero genre. Speed O' Sound Sonic is a fearsome fighter, and as his name suggests, he can move at incredible speeds. Only the supreme power and reflexes of Saitama can match it.

If it weren't for that trademark speed, Princess Hibana could cripple Sonic with her heat syncope or those devastating fireballs, but good luck hitting a quick target like Speed O' Sound Sonic! He will sprint all across the battlefield to show off his capabilities, then slice Hibana apart when he's good and ready.

2 Can Defeat: Kagome (InuYasha)

Kagome readying her bow and arrow in Inuyasha

This is Kagome Higurashi, an ordinary girl who fell down a well and found herself in feudal Japan. There, she learned to wield the bow and arrow, and she has formidable priestess powers for fighting demons in this soft isekai series.

She makes for a good support character, but don't ask her to take on Princess Hibana. We have no doubt that Hibana's classic heat syncope effect will cripple Kagome in one hit, and those fireballs will end Kagome's adventures right then and there.

1 Can't Defeat: Diavolo (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure)

This pink-haired man is Diavolo, the cruel and terrifying boss of the Passione gang in early-2000s Italy. He is a stand user, and his stand, King Crimson, allows him to take on nearly any opponent with ease. He claimed several victims until Giorno's Gold Experience Requiem finally stopped him.

Princess Hibana can't match Giorno's accomplishment, though. Before she can lift a finger, Diavolo would cut out a piece of time and avoid Hibana's attacks, and strike her down with a single blow. It takes a mighty stand user to topple King Crimson, and Hibana doesn't have what it takes.
