The Fire Emblem series boasts a unique amount of classes that players can choose from when training and deploying units for battle. These classes range from swordsmen, thieves, and even archers.

However, some character units make for the best archers worthy of a deployment slot. This could be due to having more well-rounded stats than other archer characters in the game, being an incredibly useful archer from the beginning after being recruited, or being useful in ways other than archery itself.

10 Shamir Is A Near-Peerless Archer In Three Houses

Shamir, who appears in Fire Emblem: Three Houses, can be recruited midway through the Academy phase of the game. She's a mercenary who currently works as a Knight of Seiros when the player first meets her, and her skills as an archer are outmatched by barely anyone.

This is because her stats are already at an A rank in archery when first recruited, making her the perfect go-to archer for deployment. Her accuracy and quick movements make her incredibly useful against tough enemies as well.

9 Claude Is An Incredible Archer Worthy Of Deployment

Claude Fire Embelm Three Houses

Players who joined the Golden Deer house in Fire Emblem: Three Houses caught on quickly that Claude Von Riegan made for a wonderful archer in combat. He immediately starts off with a bow in-game with his stats favoring using a bow compared to other weapons. Many players and fans enjoyed him using it so much that they developed his skills to fit being an archer, or at least a class that can use a bow and arrow to their full potential.

To further demonstrate his skills, Claude even gets a cutscene late in the game for the Golden Deer route, where he shoots Nemesis while upside down in combat. This act impressed many fans and cemented his status as a fan-favorite archer.

8 Bernadetta Is A Handy Archer In Three Houses

If the player joins the Black Eagles class or recruits Bernadetta into their own class in Fire Emblem: Three Houses, the player will immediately notice that Bernadetta's archery stat is already higher than the other stats she has. Despite her low luck and defense stats, she easily makes up for it with her speed and dexterity.

Additionally, Bernadetta's ability Persecution Complex will also allow her to hit harder if she herself is damaged. Her strong suite of combat arts and her Minor Crest of Indech also help her out in battle. Even though she's not as strong as Claude or Shamir on this list, she's still a worthy archer to deploy on the battlefield.

7 Leon Is One Of The Best Archers In Echoes: Shadows Of Valentia

Leon Fire Emblem

Leon appears in Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows Of Valentia and is an excellent archer from the first moment the player meets him while playing as Celica. His speed and attack stats make him a handy ally to quickly hit foes from long distances. It also helps that his other stats aren't pitifully low compared to other characters that can be reclassed as archers in the game, too.

Many fans of the game kept Leon as an archer and upgraded him to higher statuses in the same category because of his usefulness.

6 Python Is Also One Of The Best Archers In Echoes: Shadows Of Valentia

Python Fire Emblem

Python is one of the archers that the player meets as Alm while playing Echoes: Shadows Of Valentia. He, like Leon, is a fairly strong archer from the get-go, and he also has mostly well-rounded stats and growth overall despite archers mainly being known for sluggish growths in other areas.

His better stat growths make him a bit stronger than Leon later on in the game, much to the joy of Python's fans. His witty personality coupled with his skill in battle made him fairly popular with fans as a unit overall.

5 Takumi Is One Of The Better Archers In Fire Emblem: Fates

Takumi Fire Emblem

Fire Emblem: Fates boasts Takumi as one of the best archers in the game. Most of Takumi's own stats develop rather quickly throughout the game, and it helps that he's one of the first archers that can be recruited in both Birthright and Revelation.

His personal skill, Competitive, gives him an increased critical hit rate, which will be handy against tough bosses later on in the game. He's also one of the archers in the game that has better accuracy out of the other potential archers, too.

4 Shura Isn't Just A Great Archer But Also A Healer In Fates

Shura Fire Emblem

Shura appears in Fire Emblem: Fates and is considered one of the better archers in the game. His starting class, the Adventurer, gives him an A rank in the bow stat, making it easy for him to be reclassed to an archer position later on in gameplay. He's recruited fairly late in the game, but his high stats in skill, speed, and resilience are worth picking him up.

In addition to his skills, Shura also is capable of healing his allies due to his C rank in the Staves skill. This makes him a handy secondary healer in battle as needed, and makes Shura more versatile in more than just archery.

3 Klein From The Binding Blade Is A Fairly Strong Archer

Klein and Tate Fire Emblem

Klein appears in Fire Emblem: The Binding BladeLike his mother Louise, Klein is a fairly good archer overall. Even though he suffers from low growth in defense stats, the rest of his growth for the other stats easily makes up for this weakness. He's also a fairly likable unit due to his personality, which encouraged fans to deploy him on the battlefield.

2 Louise's Archery Skills Are Unmatched In The Blazing Blade

Louise Fire Emblem

Louise appeared in Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade as a great archer. Due to her honing her skills as a warrior being a major part of her backstory, her well-rounded stats also reflect the outcome of her training. Her defensive stat growth is the least of all of her stats, but the rest of her well-rounded growth makes up for it, especially with her health, strength, and speed.

Her supports with other characters, such as Pent, can help raise those other characters' stats to higher heights. Her well-rounded stats and her supports in strengthening others make her a worthy unit to be deployed on the battlefield and a fairly integral unit overall in The Blazing Blade.

1 Rolf Is A Wonderful Sharpshooter In Path Of Radiance

Rolf Fire Emblem

Rolf appears in Fire Emblem: Path Of Radiance. He might appear fairly short and small, but he's stronger than he looks. Even though Rolf's resistance stat is fairly weak with its growth, he makes up for this heavily with his skill and speed stat growths. His bond with his brothers can also enable him to use Triangle Attacks, assuming that said brothers are also in classes with the ability to use bows.

Even though Rolf's talents mainly lie in just using the bow alone, his speed, skill, and backstory-given experience with using it greatly help him as a deployed unit on the battlefield.
