WARNING: The following contains spoilers for Final Space Season 3, Episode 11, "The Dead Speak," which aired Saturday on Adult Swim.

The Galaxy 2 experienced a full on invasion of Garys when Invictus sent his zombie army to take them down. While his first attack back in Season 3 Episode 1 proved unsuccessful, Invictus saw this moment as the perfect time to attack because the team was at their weakest. With the KVN Net destroyed, the Lord Commander becoming a Titan and the fallout from Fox and Bolo's deaths still fresh, the Galaxy 2 was almost helpless in the attack.

After seeing the murder of Bolo by the newly overpowered Lord Commander, the team drifted through final space, trying to come up with a plan. Tensions were running high, with Avocato placing all the blame on Quinn, since she was the one who decided to stay. Avocato's rage came from the reveal that Gary was not the only one who was suffering from final space poisoning: the entire team was infected. Additionally, Ash was dealing with her own struggles, as she was conflicted about whether she should be with the Galaxy 2 or with Invictus. As she pondered this, a swarm of Zombie Garys came hurdling towards the ship, ripping it apart from the outside and making their way in.

The team split up, hoping to take out as many Garys as they could. They fought through wave after wave of Zombie Garys, trying to get the ship back online. Quinn found out about everyone's poisoning and took responsibility for their illness, while Invictus tried once again to convince Ash to join him but she was brought back with Sheryl's help. After the onslaught, only one Gary remained. Little Cato asked Ash if she could remove the Invictus from him, hoping this alternate timeline Gary might have some insight on their situation.

Ash pulled the possession out of him and audiences met another version of Gary, one that sacrificed himself to close the breach. This Gary revealed the mental torment he had undergone while in final space, the horrors in his mind he could not escape from. He also revealed that Quinn never came to save him. He mistook the Galaxy 2's Quinn for his own, relieved that she never gave up on him, and with that, his body shut down and he died.

Gary was hurt over the words of his alternate self, suffering from survivor's guilt over the fact that all of alternate Garys had sacrificed themselves except him. Quinn informed him that while those Garys had stopped the Titans temporarily, he will be the one to end them all, thus honoring their sacrifice. As Gary felt excited over the prospect, the team were met with a shocking reveal: endless Earths, all with their own hatching Titan in the core. This prompted Quinn to change plans and insist on leaving final space, as there doesn't seem to be any hope of stopping every Titan, especially now.

Created by Olan Rogers, Final Space stars Olan Rogers, Tom Kenny, Tika Sumpter, Fred Armisen, Steven Yuen, David Tennant and Coty Galloway. Season 3 airs Saturdays on Adult Swim.
