MASSIVE SPOILERS FOR DRAGON BALL SUPER: SUPER HERO FOLLOW:

The new images were posted on Twitter by @DBSHype1 and originally come from the official Japanese novelization of the movie. The images show off some clearer looks at Final Gohan, the young Saiyan's latest power-boosting transformation, and Cell Max, a new incarnation of the classic genetically-engineered Dragon Ball Z villain, who is awakened during the film's climactic final battle. The pictures also spoil how Cell Max, who is so strong that Gohan estimates that even Goku and Vegeta would have trouble defeating him, is ultimately killed. While Gohan defeated the original Cell with one of Goku's signature attacks, the Kamehameha, this time the half-Saiyan dispatches the new version of the villain by firing a Makankōsappō (localized in English as the "Special Beam Cannon,") while in his new "Final" form. The choice of final attack is fitting, given that movie focuses on the bond between Gohan and Piccolo, and that the Special Beam Cannon is one of Namekian warrior's trademark special attacks.

Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero debuted in Japan on June 11, and spoilers for the movie immediately flooded social media and message boards within hours of the film's Japanese premiere. In addition to Final Gohan and Cell Max, footage and images have also appeared online for a second new form for Piccolo, which gives the former-villain an orange color and a glowing symbol on his back. The new form is reportedly given to him by Shenron the Eternal Dragon. The second form comes in addition to the "Potential Unlocked" form that was showcased in many of the film's trailers, which instead give Piccolo a golden appearance.
