Square Enix Unveils Cloud-Centric Final Fantasy VII Trailer

The highly anticipated Final Fantasy VII Remake nears closer to release with each passing day. The game's developer, Square Enix, has been slowly revealing new information. Most recently, fans were treated to a brand new trailer.

Square released the trailer on the Final Fantasy VII Remake's official Twitter. The footage primarily focused on the game's main protagonist, Cloud Strife. The tweet's caption reads, "Here's a quick look at the main hero of #FinalFantasy VII Remake, Cloud Strife! Today we've released a number of wallpapers and avatars featuring Cloud, which you can grab from the official #FF7R website right here sqex.link/mi0"

The 1997 original game was a smash hit, shattering records and ushering in a new era for video games. It has often been cited as one of the greatest video games of all time and its colorful cast of characters have firmly asserted their place in pop culture. Cloud Strife in particular, is one of the most notable video game characters of all time.

For years, fans have been clamoring for a remake of the game. After setbacks, rumors, and multiple delays, the game was finally announced for a 2020 release.

Final Fantasy VII Remake is developed and published by Square Enix. It is scheduled to be released on March 3, 2020 for PlayStation 4.
