Bandai Namco has released the first 15 minutes of EUREKA: Eureka Seven High Evolution ahead of the film's premiere to stoke excitement for the trilogy's concluding chapter.

The released footage, which is available to watch for free on YouTube, shows the movie's opening battle sequence and give viewers a preview of the story's increased tensions. Set 10 years after the conclusion of the previous film, which saw the virtual world created by the alien entity known as Scab Coral merge with the real world, EUREKA shows the world's population divided into the Green Earth and Blue Earth. The titular Eureka, who has lost her ability to communicate with the Scab Coral, is sent on a mission to protect a young girl named Iris as hostilities between the two groups amplify.

The High Evolution trilogy features events that are set both before and after the original 2005 Eureka Seven anime series. While the anime series, its 2012 sequel series Eureka Seven AO and the first two movies in the trilogy were all written by veteran scriptwriter Dai Satō (Cowboy BebopGhost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex), EUREKA's script was written by the trilogy's director Tomoki Kyoda (Expelled from ParadiseMoribito - Guardian of the Spirit) and screenwriter Yuuichi Nomura (Code Geass: Lelouch of the RebellionWorld Trigger).

Studio BONES, which has been involved with the Eureka Seven franchise since its inception, oversaw the new movie's animation. Naoki Satō (Assassination ClassroomBlood-C: The Last Dark) composed the music, Kenichi Yoshida (Gundam Reconguista in GOverman King Gainer) designed the characters and Kumiko Sakamoto (My Hero AcademiaNoragami) handled the editing. Several members of the original anime series's voice cast reprised their roles for the High Evolution trilogy, including Kaori Nazuka as Eureka and Ami Koshimizu as Anemone.

EUREKA: Eureka Seven High Evolution will theatrically debut in Japan on Nov. 26 and in the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand sometime in 2022. Other anime titles that are scheduled to premiere in 2022 include Love After World Domination, Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury, The Greatest Demon Lord is Reborn as a Typical Nobody and new seasons of The Rising of the Shield HeroAscendance of a Bookworm and Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club.
